By the power of a bodhisattva's bodhicitta,
even the enraged mind of a wild animal
right in front of you calms down;
mutual animosity is set aside and you become fast friends.

When bodhicitta has been taken as a friend

it is as reliable as the axial mountain,

and no matter how great a terror there may be,
